Meet the girls who are donating their time to raise awareness about Girls’ Night In and women's cancers.

“I believe that Girls’ Night In is an incredible initiative to raise awareness about women’s cancers and the impact it can have on family and friends. I’m really looking forward to having a night in with the girls and at the same time, know that I’ll be supporting thousands of people who’ve been touched by cancer in some way. So get behind it girls!"

“Unfortunately everyone has been touched by cancer at some stage. Young, old, middle aged - cancer doesn’t discriminate. It can really shake everyone’s world and turn it upside down.
The more aware we are, the more research done, and the more donations Cancer Council receives the better off we will be. The donations not only help research, but also help provide the support services for people who are affected as well, which I think are so important.”

"Girls’ night In raises much needed money and awareness for breast and gynaecological cancer.
Grab your girlfriends and help over 17,000 women. The money you'd usually spend on a night out goes to saving others –it’s a fabulous reason to grab your girlfriends and have fun to help others!"

"My girlfriends and I love getting together for a girls night ... we cherish our friendship and time spent together. If I was ever to be diagnosed with cancer, I know I'd desperately need those friends around to support me and make me smile. That's why I signed up to host a Girls’ Night In, so we can raise money for cancer research and remind each other that in health, and sickness, we're here for each other.”

“Sudden bouts of girliness are crucial to maintaining one's sanity - sometimes you just have to eat marshmallows and squeal a lot - so how about doing it for a great cause? I'm supporting Girl's Night In for the thousands of women who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. Jump on board, ladies - together we can make a difference.”

"In comparison to most of my friends, I'm a bit of a Nanna. I don't go out very much and I absolutely love spending quality nights in. So this is the perfect excuse to rope my gorgeous party animal girlfriends in for the night! Not to mention, it's for a truly wonderful cause. I believe that "Girls’ Night In" is the perfect way to do something fun to raise awareness for something that has touched so many of our lives."

“I am honoured and excited to be a part of Cancer Council’s Girls’ Night In. Getting women and men thinking about their health is a great thing. We need to know our bodies and be aware even when little changes happen and never be too scared to go and get them checked by the doctor, as you never know what a little change might mean. As a self-confessed foodaholic, I love the way food brings people together – sharing stories, laughing and having fun! I can’t wait to get my girls together this October in support of all the women in our lives.”

"I'm really excited to be involved with the Girls’ Night in campaign. At only 32 being diagnosed with breast cancer came as a huge shock. Having a double mastectomy and enduring chemo and radiation was not on my list of things to do. I know all too well how important this cause is especially to expose young woman to methods of prevention, early detection and most importantly, support. My girls came together to support me when I needed them most and we're excited to come together again to support other women who need our help to eradicate cancer."

"I first came across Girls Night In when I edited magazines a number of years ago. I loved the idea: bringing women together in an intimate space where they can connect and help other women. We love being invited to such opportunities to give like this...it brings out the best in all of us."
